My 11-year-old, Chloe, is a devout vegetarian. She also dances 10 hours a week and does that thing all kids do that requires nutrition, grow. Add to that she isn't a big breakfast eater and I'm faced with the challenge of getting enough calories in her each day. Thankfully she will slurp down a smoothie before school. Here's her favorite regular smoothie. I like it because she gets around 10 grams of protein from Tera's Whey, which I feel good about because it's certified organic—the only whey protein on the market that I know of that is. The Natural Vitality Plant-Sourced Minerals offer an extra boost for insurance against deficiencies, and the coconut oil gives her some healthy fat.
